Trump Demands GM Action Over Closed Ohio Plant, Car Maker RespondsCiting the strength of the economy President Trump went after General Motors on Twitter, demanding a reversal in the car maker’s decision to close the doors of its Lordstown, Ohio factory.????Trump tweeted “I want jobs to stay in the U.S.A. And want Lordstown (Ohio), in one of the best economies in our history, opened or sold to a company who will open it up fast!”????And suggesting in another tweet “Close a plant in China or Mexico, where you invested so heavily pre-Trump, but not in the U.S.A. Bring jobs home!”????The Lordstown location closed in early March, one of four U.S. plants that GM plans to close along with cutting roughly 15,000 jobs…????...it irked the president then when it was announced in November last year and it’s still a point of contention between him and CEO Mary Barra….????Tweeting that he spoke to her about the plant closure, “I asked her to sell it or do something quickly. She blamed the UAW union - I don’t care, I just want it open!”????Earlier, Trump also called out said the United Automobile Workers…????”Democrat UAW Local 1112 President David Green ought to get his act together and produce.
