Dog bites man, owner booked

Ludhiana : Sadar police have booked a woman after her pet pitbull a 57-year-old man in Chhabra colony of Daad village.

Cops registered the case following complaint by Sanjeev Kochhar, a businessman from the locality. The complainant said on the morning of March 14, while he was returning home around at around 8.45, the woman was roaming around the locality with her dog who was not chained. After seeing the complainant, the dog bit him. The complainant said though he asked the woman to handle her dog cautiously, she started arguing with him. In the meantime, the dog again attacked the complainant and bit him on the right arm, abdomen and other parts of the body. He was taken to the hospital and given first aid after which he informed the police.


Police said following a complaint a case has been registered against Bandana Ansari under relevant sections of the IPC. The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV camera installed outside a house in the locality.
