Husband who killed wife and buried her twice admits lying about death

A Queensland man convicted of killing his wife and burying her before digging her body up, moving it and reburying it has admitted lying about his involvement.

Edmund Ian Riggs, 59, was found guilty in February of the manslaughter of his wife, Patricia Anne Riggs, in September 2001 and interfering with her corpse after 17 years marriage.

On Monday, he pleaded guilty to a further four charges of perjury in the Brisbane Supreme Court after lying for 15 years he had any knowledge of her death.
