Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index dips; Sadbhav Engineering down nearly 2%

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.73 per cent down at 18,268.26 around 12:42 pm.

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading lower in Monday's afternoon session.

Kalpataru Power Transmissions (down 2.48 per cent), Sadbhav Engineering (down 1.77 per cent), GE T&D India (down 1.74 per cent) and VGuard Industries (down 1.50 per cent) were trading with losses.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.73 per cent down at 18,268.26 around 12:42 pm.

Shares of Suzlon Energy (up 4.56 per cent) , Dilip Buildcon (up 3.97 per cent) , BEML (up 3.85 per cent) and NBCC (India) (up 2.68 per cent) were trading in the green.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 4.90 points at 11,431.75 while the BSE Sensex was down 16.23 points at 38,008.09.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Bharti Infratel, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Communications, Reliance Power, Ashok Leyland, Reliance Capital, PNB, DHFL, South Indian Bank, JP Associates, NBCC , IDBI Bank, Bombay Dyeing, Indian Oil Corp, YES Bank, SAIL, SBI, Axis Bank and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
