Congress to leave 7-seats for SP-BSP-RLD alliance in UP

The Congress party on Sunday announced that it would leave seven Lok Sabha seats for the SP, BSP and RLD alliance in Uttar Pradesh. UP Congress chief Raj Babbar made the announcement in Lucknow today.

He said the seats include Mainpuri and Kannauj where from candidature of Mulayam Singh Yadav and Dimple Yadav has already been announced and Firozabad. He added that the party will also not contest the seats where from BSP Chief Mayawati, SP National President Akhilesh Yadav and father-son duo of RLD, Ajit Singh and Jayant Singh will contest.
