Telugu Desm Party president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday alleged that Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy sought a CBI inquiry into the death of his uncle and former MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy as he had strong rapport with the Narendra Modi government which might extend its support in suppressing the facts in the ghastly ‘murder’.
Mr. Naidu alleged that Mr. Jagan’s family tried to project it as a natural death but the initial investigation proved that it was a murder. Mr. Naidu who launched the first leg of election campaign in Srikakulam found fault with Mr. Jagan for approaching Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan for a CBI inquiry.
He urged beneficiaries of government schemes to ensure victory for TDP in all 10 Assembly seats in Srikakulam district. “All elderly people, women, youngsters who got benefits of the scheme should campaign for TDP along with party leaders and cadre. It would certainly pave the way for the victory of the party,” he said.
“The YSRCP has no moral right to seek votes since its MLAs failed to attend Assembly proceedings. MPs of the Opposition party could not raise issues related to the State,” he added.
The TDP president alleged that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao were working against the A.P. government. “In spite of the support from Mr. Modi and Mr. Chandrasekhara Rao, the YSRCP will be defeated in Andhra Pradesh. TDP will win more than 150 Assembly seats and all 25 Parliament seats,” said Mr.Chandrababu Naidu.
