Two more persons have been arrested on charge of abducting and murdering 21-year-old Ananthu Girish a few days ago.
A team led by Assistant Commissioner, Fort, R. Prathapan apprehended Sarath from a hideout in Chennai and another accused, identified as Vipin of Arasummoodu.
Conspiracy
Vipin is suspected to have been part of the conspiracy, but was not directly involved in the murder.
He allegedly pointed out Ananthu to his assailants ahead of his abduction, the Karamana police said.
With this, 13 youths have been arrested in the case.
Efforts are on to nab Umesh, who was purportedly part of the group that killed Ananthu.
Sreevaraham case
The arrests of two youths were recorded in the murder of 28-year-old Shyam, alias Manikuttan, who was stabbed to death in Sreevaraham two days ago.
Those arrested have been identified as Manoj Krishnan and his cousin Rejith of Sreevaraham.
Efforts to trace the main suspect, Arjun of Sreevaraham, are yet to yield any results.
