Though about 30,000 government employees from various departments are involved in election duty only 8,000 to 9,000 are using the postal ballot and to improve special counters will be established, District Collector and Election Officer K. Bhaskar has said.
Addressing a training programme on postal ballot here on Saturday, he said the counters would be established for four days from March 17 at the offices of the RTC and the Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police and Form-12 would be given.
Those who received Form-12 and registered could not vote at the booths but should avail themselves of the postal ballot, he said.
