The Congress government in Rajasthan has started implementing a new action plan for controlling industrial pollution in Pali, Jodhpur and Balotra towns with modern technology. A business hub will also be developed at Jodhpur division’s Rohat village to create employment opportunities for the youths of the region.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said at a programme in Pali over the weekend that industrial development in the region would get the highest priority in view of the impact of closure of industries on livelihood of labourers.
“The government will ensure that no industrial unit is closed for want of compliance with the pollution control norms,” he said.
Mr. Gehlot said the towns in Pali district would also benefit from the Delhi-Mumbai dedicated freight corridor.
