Revolver Ranee: Changing Colours

Revolver Ranee: Changing Colours
Mandatory Credit: Photo by AP/REX/Shutterstock (9111588k) President Donald Trump tosses paper towels into a crowd as he hands out supplies at Calvary Chapel, in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Trump is in Puerto Rico to survey hurricane damage Trump, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico - 03 Oct 2017

Poll fever has begun and migration too. How voters keep track of numerous leaders joining and quitting parties, like changing Nehruvian jackets, oopsies now it’s called Modi jackets. I tell you this changing colours is making me colour blind.

Firstly, that Big Jhol Party has little presence in the north east. Now with their latest attempt to defame Congress, trying to hold the ULFA functionary to ransom, they have lost the plot, further. Not working in their favour, say north east Indians, who realise the Big Jhol Party is doing it for getting a foothold. But never forget your past, they say. The whole controversy around National Citizenship Bill will come to haunt them. Time the two big men took some serious ground level feedback.

The funniest are Congress politicians. Many heirs felt threatened and some resigned, some are miffed and at the end of the day, all have been declared as candidates. Huh, so much for sounding miffed. Me not understand this handsome Butter Boy. He calmly takes on detractors, seems in control and then allows the detractors to get away. Well, a bit of old world formula continues to remain in the party. Hope the voters are able to keep track of it.

And it’s quite a rattling disquiet. Uttar Pradesh bhaiyajis dislike Bihari bhaiyajis. The Mumbai Congress is evidently a turf for this ‘above the Vindhyas’ conflict. That part of India seems rather distant on many levels.

Most pathetic are those sainiks. As children, the word sainik meant a person from the army. These sainiks only beat up others, extort and hold the city to ransom. The latest sons-of-the soil copy cat cousin (my lovelies, can’t avoid the alliteration), has no legislator left. My sides hurt. Though he is at least taking on the 56 inch chested-wala.

Then, suddenly all is quiet on the Sanatan and Urban Naxal front. The police I thought are supposed to uphold law and order. In the case of activists, the police told the court, these activists were trying to topple the government. This is con-phusing, are we living in a democracy or in a one-man rule regime? No, it is a serious question, because if police, army and armed forces are worried about this government then may be something is inherently wrong with this government.

Speaking of politicians, the first world super power has such an amusing head-of-state. His tweet Trump-ed Twitter, about how confusing he finds the toilet paper and announced proudly he has stopped using it. Well, for the record, do check his tweet. Here we battle drinking water diseases in India and the first world has toilet training problems.

So much for America being transparent and competitive. The privileged, rich Americans, desperately wanting their kids to get admissions in top colleges have paid millions to secure seats, without appearing for SAT exams. Charity pays, if someone thought, then karma comes to bite hard. Real philanthropy is bereft of favours.

And all my SoBo buddies, hope you all are not planning extended holidays for April 29, caught ya naughties. No, no, it doesn’t seem like a blistering summer, so plan your cool weather break to London and western parts for May. Be nice citizens and even if NOTA remember no summer for the time being.
