Modi govt blamed for poor show of MSMEs
TNN | Mar 18, 2019, 04:58 ISTTirupur: DMK-alliance candidate in Tirupur K Subbarayan on Sunday said the BJP-led government had sealed the final nail in the coffin of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Addressing the media, the former CPI MP said, “It was promised during the last LS poll campaign that the Narendra Modi government, if comes to power, would usher in a prosperous era for MSME units in places like Tirupur. But in reality, more than 30% units have already been shut down.”
He said the situation was better when the DMK-alliance was in power. Another issue he chose to highlight was failure in the agriculture front.
“Now, the country is facing crisis as never before since the independence. Similarly, the state is governed by a corrupt government. Both the AIADMK and the BJP are responsible for the crisis and they should be dethroned. The secular front formed by DMK-led alliance would ensure that both the state and the country are freed from the clutches of these two parties. It is the election to save the country,” Subbarayan said.
