Opt for dry Holi to save water: Green Vigil urges Nagpurians

Nagpur: Green Vigil Foundation organized an eco-friendly Holi campaign on Saturday at Shankar Nagar Square. Members of Green Vigil appealed to the citizens to adopt ‘dry Holi’ or ‘tilak Holi’ to avoid wastage of water.
They urged the people to use natural colours, be it gulal or other herbal colours and avoid water balloons. The team also exhorted the citizens to spare animals from the colour hazard and stop burning plastic and other material during Holika Dehan which emanate harmful gases into the air.
Founder of Green Vigil Foundation Kaustav Chatterjee said, “We are also stressing on various practices, which if implemented by the citizens, can ensure water sustainability in summer.”

Green Vigil members Chatterjee, Vaidya, Surbhi Jaiswal, Sheetal Choudhary, Bishnudeo Yadav, Vrushali Shrirang, Vikash Yadav, Namrata Zaveri, Hemant Amesar, Rajat Jaiswal, Nitin Kukekar, Dadarao Mohod, Chinmaye Dhiman, Kartiki Kawale and others worked hard for the success of the campaign.
