ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION Christchurch Hospital said they were treating 39 patients following the two mosque shootings on Friday (March 15).

So far seven of the 48 victims admitted to Christchurch Hospital yesterday have been discharged but 11 still remain in intensive care and are considered "critically ill", hospital officials said.

The main suspect in the shootings faced court on Saturday (March 16) morning, and was remanded without a plea until his next scheduled appearance in the South Island city's High Court on April 5.
