Cash seized at airport
TNN | Mar 17, 2019, 04:04 ISTHubballi: Gokul Road police seized Rs 2.4 lakh from a passenger at Hubballi airport on Saturday evening.
Police inspector Dilip Nimbalkar told STOI that the airport staff noticed bundles of cash while checking the bags of Nithin Meshwade. Meshwade, a resident of Noida in Uttar Pradesh was about to board a Bengaluru-bound flight on Saturday evening, he said.
The staff alerted the police who visited the airport along with a flying squad. Police are yet to ascertain why Meshwade was the boarding flight from Hubballi.
