BHOPAL: The real time intelligence inputs should be shared so that impressive action can be taken into the issue, said Rajasthan DGP Kapil Garg, while addressing the DGP conference of the neighbouring states of MP, here on Friday. The meet was held to conduct free and fair Lok Sabha elections the police officials of neighbouring states participated in the meeting. The DGP of Madhya Pradesh VK Singh hosted the meeting, at PHQ. Garg chaired the conference. He suggested that the police of neighbouring states should form coordination to conduct free and fair elections.
Singh said the police should conduct joint patrolling at the state borders; this will give message to the criminals that they have no escape. He also stressed on the special measures to check the naxal affected area, the naxal affected districts of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh are adjoining to the state MP. He asked to form joint action team in the area. Uttar Pradesh DGP OP Singh called for audits of the arms dealers and especially of the cartridges, so that misuse of the guns and the cartridges can be prevented.
He suggested that names of arms dealers and liquor dealers shall be shared amongst police of neighbouring states. Gujarat ADG Sanjay Shrivastava suggested measures on checking illegal liquor transportations between states. MP ADG Kailash Makwana made a presentation on behalf of MP police. Officers including Rajiv Tandon, SW Naqwi, Upendra Jain, Sanjiv Sami, GP Singh, IG law and order Yogesh Choudhary, IG Makrand Deouskar also shared their views at the meet.
CCTV to be installed at state check posts
In the inter-state meeting it was decided to install CCTV at the state check posts. Every vehicle will checked, cash found exceeding the legal limit shall be seized.
250 country made weapons siezed
Later addressing a press conference DGP VK Singh informed that in last three weeks they had seized 250 country made weapons. He also added that the DGP of Rajasthan was having complaint with the state regarding the illegal weapons.
