Two bikers arrested for phone snatch
Sanjay Yadav | TNN | Mar 15, 2019, 07:49 ISTGurgaon: Two bikers were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly snatching a mobile phone of a private company employee in Udyog Vihar on Tuesday.
Chander Kant, who is from UP’s Mainpuri, was returning home from work when the two assailants accosted him and snatched his mobile phone, police said. “I work in a private company and reside as a tenant in Dundahera village. Around 5pm, when I was going home after work when two bike-borne men came from behind and fled away after snatching my handset. I raised the alarm but they were already gone by then,” the victim told police.
Based on the complaint lodged on Wednesday, an FIR was registered against the two accused under Section 379-A (snatching) at Udyog Vihar police station. At night, the city police arrested the duo from the same area.
They have been identified as Suresh and Sahil, residents of Rangpuri in Delhi. Police said that the duo confessed to the crime.
“We are questioning the accused and trying to recover the motorcycle that they used in the crime,” said inspector Devender Singh, SHO of Udyog Vihar police station.
