Seminar on business excellence held
TNN | Mar 15, 2019, 07:13 ISTLudhiana: A seminar on soft qualities of an effective management culture was organised by Ludhiana Management Association (LMA) on Wednesday evening. Renowned businessman Anil Khaitan, chairman of SNK group, was the guest speaker on the occasion.
Addressing the participants, Khaitan said, “It is not only technical skills or power that lead to business excellence, but the ability to develop soft skills or soft power, and also being able to strike a balance between the two that could catapult a business to achieve breakthrough.”
Khaitan emphasised that the organisations, especially family businesses, need to undergo a paradigm shift from the sole focus of chasing business success in terms of top or bottom line growth to creating excellence at all levels and in all activities, and the pursuit of excellence would itself lead to success across all financial and other business metrics.
Kamal Wadhera appreciated Khaitan’s ability to demystify leadership, soft culture and other related concepts. He asserted that members need to understand that only organisations that holistically develop their systems, processes and people are be able to excel in the fiercely competitive business world. Dr Sandeep Kapoor, senior vice president of LMA, Mahesh Munjal, Dr Paramjit Kaur, Dr Prem Kumar and other leading personalities of the city were present at the event.
