Lok Sabha elections: Janasena and BSP to contest together in AP and Telangana

VIJAYAWADA: Actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan's Janasena formed an alliance with Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) on Friday. Pawan Kalyan met BSP chief Mayawati in Lucknow and discussed the alliance.


Addressing a media conference Mayawati announced that BSP will work with Janasena in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for upcoming general as well as assembly elections. She said that change in political system was much needed.


Pawan Kalyan said that he always believed in Kanshi Ram's path and is delighted to work together with BSP. Pawan hoped to see Mayawati as the prime minister of India.


Pawan said that SC, ST and BC communities played a prominent role in Andhra Pradesh and these communities are only utilized as vote banks by traditional political parties. “Janasena will work for social justice and we will give maximum seats to BC, SC, ST and minorities," Pawan said.
