Sandalwood logs seized
TNN | Mar 16, 2019, 04:57 ISTHubballi: Based on a tipoff, he City Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) officials seized seven logs of sandalwood weighing about 35kg. Police have arrested four persons relating to the case and seized an airgun from them.
CCIB police led by inspector Altaf M intervened a car coming from Haveri near Gabbur bypass on Friday and found the logs during checking.
Police arrested Mallesh Harlapur of Maribind in Hangal taluk, Pramod Kuradikeri of Ramankoppa of Kalaghtagi taluk, Parshuram Kengannavar and Basavraj Byahatti, both residents of Agadi village.
Police said the accused were taking the logs to Belagavi and more details would emerge only after an investigation. The logs have been handed over to the forest department.
