Two people were killed and as many injured when the truck they were travelling in rammed into a roadside tree here on Friday, police said.
The accident took place near Khamariya village in Shahjahanpur district. The truck was coming from Amroha, Miranpur Katra police station in-charge Vidyut Goyal said.
The deceased have been identified as Mohd. Shibbu (24) and Ehsan (25), he said, adding that the injured were admitted to a hospital.
The cause of the accident is not known yet, Goyal said.
