Veteran BJP leader Devi Singh Bhati quits party

on Friday resigned from the primary membership of the party, annoyed over the ticket for the elections being given to MP

Bhati, a seven-time BJP MLA from in Rajasthan, said he had sent his resignation to the party high command.

"I am feeling sad after resigning from the party but I am really hurt about reports that is again being given a ticket from for the elections," Bhati said.

"Meghwal has been involved in anti-party activities and I have informed the party about it. The party leaders said they would pursue the matter but nothing has been done. I feel helpless, I preferred to resign, he added.

Bhati has been an MLA from 1980 to 2013 and has worked on many significant portfolios.
