Uzbekistan will set up partnership ties with collaborators from Azerbaijan in tourism; Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Sherzod Feyziyev said that at a joint event arranged by the Uzbek embassy in Baku and the Azerbaijani travel agency “My Travel”, Trend reports on March 13.
To a substantial extent, the growth and expansion of tourism in Uzbekistan will be perked up by the organizing cooperation ties with partners from Azerbaijan. The initial measure in this direction should be the establishment of the cooperation of the Embassy with “My Travel,” with which a work plan for 2019 was signed.
The main intent of the event was to showcase tourism’s ongoing large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan, providing information in terms of rich history and unique culture of the country, along with opportunities for tourists.
In the last two years, major reforms have been conducted in Uzbekistan, which impacted almost all spheres of the society. Tourism and other areas related to this area are considered by the state as of prime importance which has been given the status of a strategic sector of the economy.
In the framework of the current potential accomplishments, only in the last two years, 55 regulatory documents regulating tourism were signed.
