MYSURU: The University of Mysore 99th annual convocation will be held on March 17, 2019. University will confer honorary degrees on Mata Amritanandamayi Mutt seer Mata Amritanandamayi Devi and Tipatur's Somanakatte Sri Kadasiddeshwara Mutt seer Karivrashabha Deshikendra Shivayogeshwara Swamy at Crawford Hall, UoM.
All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, Chairman Anil D Sahasrabudhe will deliver the convocation address and Higher Education Minister G T Devegowda will preside.
The varsity will confer degrees on a total of 28,163 students. In all, 384 PhDs, 368 medals, and 182 cash prize.
University of Mysore vice chancellor G Hemanth Kumar said that as the Governor is preoccupied, he will not attend the convocation.
