VIJAYAWADA: A team of representatives of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) requested the chief electoral officer Gopala Krishna Dwivedi to stall the release of Ram Gopal Varma’s (RGV) film, ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’.
MLC Buddha Venkanna, Satish, Sadineni Yamini Sharma, and others complained that RGV is part of YSR Congress’s conspiracy and that they are trying to defame TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. Buddha Venkanna said that Lakshmi’s NTR is a film produced by YSRC to defame Chandrababu Naidu and RGV used the pictures of the chief minister.
“Trailer and promos of RGV’s film contain the images of Chandrababu Naidu and the trailer contained objectionable dialogues. We have requested EC to stall the release of this film,” said Venkanna.
Sadineni Yamini Sharma, a spokesperson of the TDP, said that RGV has become a voice of YSRC and the motive of his film is to defame TDP. “We will not let it happen and will continue our fight,” she said.
