Crackdown against buses flouting norms
TNN | Mar 15, 2019, 04:08 ISTMangaluru: The Mangaluru City police on Thursday launched a crackdown on buses that violated traffic rules. As many as 271 buses were booked and a fines to the tune of Rs 32,600 were collected.
Of the 271 cases, 95 pertained to use of shrill horns, 38 against rash and negligent driving and 79 cases for not issuing tickets to passengers. A total 9 buses were booked for letting passengers ride on the footboard, and another 50 buses were booked for various other reasons.
