Angered by China's move to block enlisting of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar as an international terrorist in UN Security Council, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Thursday asked people to boycott Chinese products in India and put pressure on them.
"It is time for Indians to send out a message to China that if you support those terrorists who attack our jawans/people, then every Indian should make up their mind, starting from Holi we're not going to touch a single Chinese product. If Mahatma Gandhi could drive the Britishers away through Swadesi Movement, every Indian should express anger by boycotting all Chinese products and putting pressure on China to take a decision either stand with India or make it clear they stand with global terrorist," she told ANI.
"India will boycott everything that these global terrorist organizations or people supporting them are related with. We are now not going to have anything to do with those products in India. Time is right to give a befitting reply to China while the government does his diplomatic job," she said.
For the fourth time in the last ten years, China on Wednesday blocked a proposal by the US, the UK and France, among others, to enlist Pakistan-based Azhar as a global terrorist.
Speaking further on China, the union minister said, "China has exposed itself with its double policy that it has shown by try to block Masood Azhar being branded as Global terrorist when the entire world is coming on at one platform with diplomatic efforts of India. Proofs have given, JeM themselves had said that Pulwama attack was done by them. I am shocked that China is exposing and showing the world how it is siding with the terrorist. It is speaking the Pakistan language."
On India and Pakistan meeting on Kartarpur Corridor, Badal said, "New Year of Sikhs has started today. This year, 550 years of Guru Nanak's birth anniversary will be celebrated. Kartarpur Corridor will bring peace and prosperity in the region. It is an attempt to connect many religions place related with Guru Nanak which went into Pakistan after the partition."
Taking a jibe at Congress president Rahul Gandhi for his tweet, she said, "Which policies of Rahul Gandhi have been successful? Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken together half a dozen countries like Germany, France, UK etc and isolated China. China is being exposed for his helplessness to support Pakistan.
"Pro Pakistan Rahul Gandhi must answer why he speaks Pakistan's language. Why does his Ministers go and hug Pakistani people who plan and abet and implement attack against our humble civilians," she added.
Earlier in the days, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "Weak Modi is scared of Xi. Not a word comes out of his mouth when China acts against India.
