Lok Sabha elections: Voting awareness drive held in Salem college

SALEM: The Salem district administration on Thursday held an awareness campaign to ensure 100% voter turnout in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
District collector Rohini R Bhajibhakare inaugurated the campaign at Sona Group of Educational Institutions.
Addressing college students, the collector said as instructed by the Election Commission of India, the district administration was conducting awareness campaigns every day. “We are mainly targeting fresh voters especially those who have crossed 18 years,” she said. She appealed to the students to cast their votes.
More than 3,000 college students participated in the event.
