Archer Madhumita to launch Ramgarh voter awareness campaign
TNN | Mar 14, 2019, 05:46 ISTRamgarh: Ace archer Madhumita Kumari will launch a voter awareness campaign in Ramgarh district, which is a part of the Hazaribag parliamentary constituency. The archer from West Bokaro won a silver medal at the Asian Games held in Jakarta last year. A youth icon of the state, Madhumita is aiming to win a gold in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Rajeshwari B, deputy commissioner-cum-district returning officer of Ramgarh, said Madhumita will be the Ramgarh district ambassador and join hands with the Election Commission for a voter awareness campaign in Ramgarh, which goes to the polls on May 6.
Madhumita confirmed that she would find time for voter awareness campaign. “I am happy that I got an opportunity to perform my duty towards my home district to launch an awareness campaign,” she said, adding that despite a busy schedule she will visit Ramgarh for the campaign.
