Traffic will be regulated in the Kozhikode city on Thursday in view of the Jana Maha Rally to be addressed by All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi on Kozhikode beach in the evening.
Vehicles transporting Congress workers from different districts should drop them at the venue and the vehicles should be parked at the designated spaces, the police said. Congress leaders have said that more than one lakh workers from the districts in north Kerala will take part in the rally.
The vehicles should drop the workers and reach the parking space before 4 p.m. No late-arriving vehicles will be allowed entry. Drivers should wait in the vehicles, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) said.
Vehicles coming from Kasaragod, Kannur, Vadakara, Perambra, and Ulliyeri side should take deviation from Pooladikunnu and take the route from Eranhikkal to reach Pavanagad and then take the Vengali overbridge-Puthiyappa beach route and drop the participants at the Gandhi Road Junction. These vehicles should park at the western side of north beach.
Vehicles coming from Malappuram and Palakkad side should take the Ramanattukara-Cheruvannur-Meenchanda-Kalli route and deviate from the Pushapa Junction-Francis Road-South beach and drop the participants at Valiyangadi Junction. These vehicles should park at the western side of the Kothi bridge road.
Likewise, vehicles coming from Wayanad side should take the Malaparamba-Eranhipalam- Manorama Junction- Malabar Christian College Junction to reach Gandhi Road J unction. These vehicles should be parked at the western side of the road.
The vehicles coming from the Mavoor-Kozhikode Medical College Hospital side should proceed along the Thondayad- Arayidathupalam overbridge-Mini Bypass-Saravoram Junction-Ashokapuram-Malabar Christian College Junction to reach Gandhi Road Junction. These vehicles should park at the western side of Puthiyappa.
Vehicles coming from Balussery-Kakkoor side should take the Vengeri-Karikkamkulam-Karaparmba-Eranhipalam- Manorama Junction to reach Gandhi Road junction.
The vehicles should park at the western side of north beach.
