The ruling Janata Dal (United) in Bihar on Wednesday put up new posters for the Lok Sabha election with slogans in praise of the party president and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
“Sachha hai…achha hai, chalo Nitish ke saath chale [honest and good…let’s go with Nitish] says a huge poster put up at the party office in Patna. At the bottom, the poster adds, “Sankalp hamara, NDA dubara [our resolve, NDA again].
Another poster says, “hum kaam mein biswas karte hain [we believe in work],” while the third one declares, “kaam kiya, sammaan diya [done work, given respect].” Another poster on the boundary wall of the party office says, “Hamara sankalp…sharab mukt, dahej mukt, bal vivah mukt rashtra [our resolve…liquor-free, dowry-free, child marriage-free nation].”
However, Opposition leaders have taken a dig at the new posters.
“Everyone knows how honest Nitish Kumar was when he betrayed alliance partner RJD and joined hands overnight with BJP,” senior RJD leader Shivanand Tiwari said.
