The BJP on Thursday stepped up its attack on over alleged corruption in land transactions involving his brother-in-Robert Vadra, saying the is standing firmly behind in these deals.

Prasad also wondered whether "Pahwa is working in tandem with Sanjay Bhandari, and C C Thampi was their common link".

Claiming that Bhandari was the middleman of Airbus, the manufacturer of which was in competition with the Rafale jet, Prasad alleged that entire campaign of Rahul Gandhi against Rafale is malafide.

"The allegations that have been levelled against the Rafale deal by Rahul Gandhi are not based on evidence. All these allegations are being levelled because Rahul Gandhi has links with Sanjay Bhandari," Prasad alleged.

"I say with all degree of earnestness that this whole campaign against Rafale is not a fair, appropriate or a reasonable campaign but a malafide campaign, the said.

Responding to the allegations on land deals, Congress' spokesperson had asked why the BJP did not probe them in the last five years if there there was any wrongdoing.
