Harley Davidson Introduces Forty-Eight Special And Street Glide Special In India

Harley Davidson India today launched two bikes – Forty-Eight Special and Street Glide Special for India. Price of Harley Davidson Forty-Eight Special stands at ₹10.98 lakh while Harley Davidson Street Glide Special comes at ₹30.53 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

Talking about Harley Davidson Forty-Eight Special, this particular model bears retro styling as it is based on Sportster Platform and features a 1200cc V-Twin engine. Key high lights include a ‘throwback 70’s custom tank art, dark custom style, 7.25-inch high tallboy handlebars, emulsion rear shock screw adjuster and split 9-spoke cast aluminium wheels. Its 1202cc air-cooled Evolution engine produces 96Nm torque at 4,250rpm. Forty-Eight Special is being offered in three colour – Red, Black and White.

As for Harley Davidson Street Glide Special, it comes in a solid paint shade. Components like Front suspension forks, instrument panel, engine cover, exhaust pipes have been provided with a black paint shade. Its 2.5 cubic-feet panniers have been finished in body colour. In fact, the 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system now features pinch, drag and swipe functions. While the engine on Street Glide Special is a 1868cc Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-twin engine producing 165Nm at 3,000 rpm. Further, the engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
