The City Traffic Police and the flying squad in surprise check seized to the tune of ₹22,53,130, from two persons at different locations, on Wednesday.
In one check on the on the NH near a star hotel the police seized ₹18,53,130 from one Vijaybhaskar Reddy and in other case the police seized ₹4 lakh from one M. Gopala Rao, near Adivaram.
The police are yet to ascertain, why they were carrying so much money. According to the police, both the persons did not have the required documents to explain the source of the money.
