After the July 2018 announcement about her getting the wax honour, Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone finally unvieled her Madame Tussauds statue in London on Thursday.
Her actor-husband Ranveer Singh accompanied DP to the event along with his parents and in-laws. The unveiling was stramed live on Instagram and it showed both the Padukones and the Bhavnanis posing next to the statue.
Ranveer was seen fawning over his beloved wife's wax figurine. "Can I take her home," he was heard asking admiringly.

Announcing her wax statue last year, Deepika had said in a video, “It’s fun, exciting and in a way I feel a lot of gratitude because you know when you give your fans a little more than just the movies, then it’s really, really special. I hope they enjoy it as much as we enjoy creating it.”
She said that she had first visited the museum as a child, with her parents. To get the call to have her own statue exhibited made her “Very, very excited.”
“The only time I visited Madame Tussauds was in London when I was very little with my parents. That memory has sort of stayed with me, obviously. And then to receive a letter and now to be a part of that, and to actually experience what goes into making these wax figures. I think Madame Tussauds is so iconic in so many ways so it’s really special,” she said.
More pictures of Deepika's wax statue are awaited.
