A National Conference (NC) worker was shot by terrorists in south Kashmir's Anantnag area. Mohd Ismail, the NC worker, was shot by militants in Anantnag's Bijbehara. Ismail has now been rushed to a hospital in Srinagar.

Earlier on March 10, security forces gunned down three militants in an encounter in south Kashmir's Pulwama district.

The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Pinglish in the Tral area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district after receiving specific intelligence input about the presence of militants in the area. Soon, the search operation turned into an encounter after the militants opened fire at the search party of the forces who retaliated.
