As fans went crazy over the first look posters and first teaser of the ambitious period drama, Kalank, Bollywood celebs, too, showered love for the teaser of the film that stars Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. The video was launched on Tuesday at a grand event in Mumbai that had the film’s entire cast in attendance. The teaser video was an instant hit online and has already garnered more than 14 million views on YouTube.

Praising the teaser of the film produced by Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar tweeted, “KalankTeaser looks extremely intriguing but more than anything, it looks stunning! Looking forward @duttsanjay @MadhuriDixit @sonakshisinha @aliaa08 @Varun_dvn #AdityaRoyKapur @karanjohar”

Alia’s Brahmastra director and friend Ayan Mukerji also praised her and wrote a long and emotional note on Instagram. “Director & Actress.Alia. Sunshine and Starlight ! Fire, but also Wind and always Water... I met Alia when she was 18 and almost instantly she bombed her way into my life and my movies and my soul. Today, she’s not so little anymore and bombing us with too much beauty in Kalank’s beautiful trailer which dropped earlier... Shraddha Kapoor also showered her love for the teaser and wrote, “The Kalank teaser looks so so so gooooooood!!! ” Arjun Kapoor wrote, “I’m always gonna be partial to my 2 states director but he s truly made a spectacular looking film. Rich in colour landscape & everything that defines Indian cinema, song dance music festivities romance emotion drama this one will have it all can’t wait.”

Anil Kapoor and several others also took to Twitter and praised the teaser.

Thanking fans for their love, Varun Dhawan shared a video on Twitter and wrote, “Thank u for making the last 24 hrs of my life so special thank u to the entire kalank team to work around My date and see u guys soon first song of kalank will be comingggg sooooon.”

Directed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank will be Alia and Varun’s fourth film together after blockbusters like Student of the Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
