JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar recreates the streets and flavours of Catalonia in a new pop-up, starting 13th March
A charming country, Spain is known for its vibrant culture, its colonial architecture and amazing food and if you’ve got Spanish cuisine on your mind, then JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar is the place to be.
JW Café, the all-day dining restaurant at the ace hotel is all set to bring a Spanish fête to Mumbai with chef Miguel Blanco coming all the way form Hotel Arts Barcelona for a one-of-a-kind Spanish cuisine pop-up, from 13-23rd March.
Championing Spanish cuisine for years, chef Miguel Blanco hails from Santiago de Compostela in north-western Spain and is all set to bring vibrant dishes to Mumbai with the pop-up at JW Café. His cooking style, inspired by Catalonia, is set to take patrons on a culinary trip through different regions of Spain with impressive seafood dishes and traditional Spanish desserts.
Miguel is carrying with him special condiments and spices, like “Choricero” or red pepper pulp from Barcelona, to maintain the authenticity of the dishes. So, get ready to enjoy this culinary spectacle with this Spanish festival.
Blanco’s menu will be brimming with robust flavours and aromas, fresh produce and modern techniques. You can choose from a selection of hot Spanish tapas such as Spanish omelette with “pa amb tomàquet” or salads including “salmorejo” with boiled eggs and ham, traditional gazpacho with condiments. For the mains, you have an array of options including traditional Spanish paellas in vegetarian and chicken paella, Pollo en “pepitoria”, Chicken “chilindrón”, Seafood “fideua”, Xamfaina. For something sweet, try the traditional Spanish desserts such as crema catalana, Santiago almond tart and leche frita.
To round off the meal, you can indulge in a specially curated beverage menu offering unique Spanish wines, choice of flavoured sangrias and classic Spanish cocktails.
