Expose BJP’s false claims on social media, Congress tells party workers

CHANDIGARH: The Congress has directed its workers to expose BJP’s false claims and promises, which were made during last Lok Sabha polls in 2014, on different social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.


A senior Congress leader said that apart from national issues, the workers were told to tkae on BJP on local issues as well. Local BJP MP Kirron Kher had made number of promises during last Lok Sabha poll, but majority of them remains fulfilled. The Congress workers were told to highlight unfulfilled promises of BJP government on social media platforms, he added.


Sources revealed that in coming day’s senior Congress leaders from Delhi will also come to Chandigarh to train local Congress workers.


Chandigarh Congress president Pardeep Chhabra said that local leaders of social media cell already targeting BJP and its policies on social media platforms. They are also posting comparison of projects implemented during former Congress MP Pawan Kumar Bansal’s time and BJP MP Kirron Kher’s time. The Chandigarh was developed during Congress’s time whereas city’s sanitation ranking dipped from third position to 20 th position in BJP’s rule. The Congress workers are already on their job, he added.
