YSRCP celebrates ninth formation day

Lotus Pond, the headquarters of the YSR Congress Party and the residence of party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in Hyderabad, was a beehive of activity with party leaders and cadre celebrating the ninth foundation day of the party.

Several prominent persons also chose the day to join the YSRCP. Mayor of Venkatagiri in Nellore District Donthu Sarada and her husband Balakrishna joined the party under the guidance of former Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy. Former Guntur Deputy Mayor Tadisetti Murali, brother of Venkata Rao, joined the party under the guidance of former MLA Ambati Rambabu.

Former Palakol MLA Babji joined the party in the presence of senior party leaders Umareddi Venkateswarlu and V. Vijaya Sai Reddy.

While those who wanted to join the party were accorded a warm welcome, YSRCP Puthalapattu MLA Sunil Kumar was reportedly not given entry when he tried to meet Mr. Jagan. According Dr. Sunil Kumar’s followers, all their leader wanted to do was dispel rumours about party giving Puthalapattu Assembly constituency ticket to someone else.

The other big programme that took place at Lotus Pond was the 9th foundation day of the YSRCP.

Former MP Y. .V Subba Reddy, senior leaders of the party Umareddi Venkateswarlu, C. Ramachandraiah, Janga Krishna Murthy, Lakshmi Parvathi, Gattu Srikanth Reddy and Md. Iqbal participated in the celebrations.

Mr. Jagan in a tweet said that nine years had passed after the formation of the YSR Party. He congratulated all the families that fought along with the party to work for the ideals of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

The leaders unfurled the party flag in the Central Party Office.
