Dharampeth zone attaches 26 properties over Rs19.54 lakh dues
TNN | Mar 14, 2019, 04:30 ISTNagpur: The Dharampeth zone on Wednesday attached 26 open plots in Dabha area after their owners failed to pay property tax collectively valued at Rs19.54 lakh for over three decades.
Assistant municipal commissioner Mahesh Morone said the first 13 plots situated in Welcome Cooperative Housing Society in Dabha area were attached after their owners defaulted on Rs12.91 lakh since 1982. Similar action was initiated in Gurudatt Sahkari Gruh Nirman Sansthan by attaching 13 open plots to recover tax to the tune of Rs6.62 lakh.
Morone appealed to property owners to clear their property tax dues to evade action from the civic body.
