Chhota Udepur cop pulled up by PSI goes ‘missing’
TNN | Mar 14, 2019, 04:01 ISTVadodara: A head constable of Chhota Udepur police went missing after he was pulled up by a sub-inspector on Tuesday morning.
The head constable Chhatrasinh Rathwa’s family members met the superintendent of Chhota Udepur police M S Bhabhor alleging that sub-inspector G N Parmar had thrashed him up in Rangpur police station on Tuesday morning.
Bhabhor refuted the allegations saying that Parmar had scolded Rathwa for his unruly behaviour while on duty. “Parmar pulled up Rathwa as he had come to the police station in an inebriated condition after finishing his night duty. Any senior officer can scold a lower policeman for irresponsible behaviour,” Bhabhor added.
He said that Rathwa is not missing, but has fled fearing arrest.
Several local politicians too met Bhabhor on Wednesday demanding action against Parmar. Bhabhor told TOI that the issue is being blown out of proportion by some people for no reason.tnn
