APPSC Group 1 exam postponed to May 2019; check details here

NEW DELHI: The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, Vijayawada has postponed the screening test date to May 26, 2019.

Earlier, the screening test to the posts falling under Group 1, was to be held on March 31, 2019.

The APPSC has sighted the administrative exigencies the reason behind the postponement of the examination.

In this regard, a notice posted on the official APPSC website, reads: "It is hereby informed that, the Screening Test to the posts falling under Group-I Services vide Notification No.27/2018 scheduled to be held on 31.03.2019 FN & AN is postponed due to administrative exigencies. The Screening Test to said notification will be held on 26-05-2019 Forenoon & Afternoon."

APPSC Group 1: Selection Procedure


The candidates must appear in all the papers of Screening Test. Absence in any of the papers will render him / her liable for disqualification.


The selection of candidates for appointment to the posts shall be based on the merit in the Main Written examination (Conventional) followed by oral test (Interview).


The minimum qualifying marks for consideration of a candidate to the selection process are 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs, and 30% for SCs, STs and PHs or as per rules.
