Innovative questions will be main feature of activity sheet

As we all know, Maharashtra Board has changed the paper pattern. From now onwards, the question paper will be in the form of activity sheet. So, it is important to understand the concepts rather than just mugging up the answers. Innovative questions apart from traditional questions will be the main feature of the activity sheet. Twenty per cent weightage is given for 9th class syllabus.
As far as possible, don’t waste time in studying objectives. Instead, focus on the questions with long and brief answers. While doing this, objectives will be automatically covered. Objectives may be asked from inside the lesson. So, study the lessons thoroughly.

A major part of the exam contains direct formulae-based questions. Therefore, revise them thoroughly. Go through the formulae of all the physical quantities so that you can derive their S.I units. Then, there will be no need to learn the S.I units separately.

Regarding chemistry part, go through all the chemical reactions. In all, there are 83 to 85 chemical reactions. They are a bit harder to learn, so practice them well. If possible, write them in a separate notebook so that they can be revised at a glance.

Diagrams drawn should be scientifically correct. Hence, practice them well. Many students are worried about the higher order thinking skill (HOTS) questions. Don’t panic. The questions may be out of the textbook but based on the syllabus. Thorough reading of the textbook will help you.

Relate what you have learnt with day to day examples and your science paper will no longer be difficult.
