Two of family killed, four hurt as car rams into tree in Badaun

Representative imageBAREILLY: Two of a family were killed and four sustained injuries after the car they were travelling in crashed into a tree on Badaun-Bijnor highway under Ughaiti police station in Badaun district on Monday night.
The deceased were identified as Sabir Qureshi (25) and his cousin Mohammad Saddan (16).
The family was on way to Behjoi in Sambhal from Badaun’s Seshwan town to attend the wedding of a family friend.
According to Qureshi’s kin, a nilgai suddenly moved in front of the car and in attempt to save the animal, the driver crashed the car into a tree.
Pramod Kumar, station officer, Ughaiti police station, said, “The bodies were sent for post-mortem, and injured were admitted to the district hospital.”
