A missing man has been found dead in Snowdonia.
Michael Rich was reported missing from his home on the Wirral last week and searches were carried out in the hope of finding him.
Merseyside Police issued an appeal for information saying the 29-year-old may have travelled to North Wales.
But officers confirmed today that his body had been found in Snowdonia yesterday (Tuesday, March 12).
A statement from the force said: "We can confirm that a body found in Snowdonia yesterday has been formally identified as that of 29-year-old Michael Rich.
"Mr Rich was reported missing from his home in Rock Ferry on March 7.
"At this stage the death is not believed to be suspicious. Officers have informed the family.
"A post-mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death."
