Avengers: Endgame filmmaker Joe Russo to come to India in April

Joseph Russo, one half of the popular filmmaking duo, Russo brothers, will come to Mumbai in April to promote his upcoming film, Avengers: Endgame. Indian fans have a reason to rejoice as they will now get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a part of this epic spectacle and be among the first in the world to engage with the director before the movie hits the theatres.

“I am thrilled with the passionate response Avengers: Infinity War received in India, and cannot wait for you to see Avengers: Endgame. Thank you for embracing these movies. I am excited to be coming to India and eager to meet Indian fans soon,” he tells us.

A source close to the movie informs that the director will be in India in the first week of April. “Come April 1st and 2nd - Joe Russo, one half of the famed ‘Russo Brothers’ directorial duo of the most anticipated movie Avengers: Endgame will be coming to Mumbai to engage with the Indian fans,” the source tells us.

Joe along with his brother, Anthony, apart from Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: End Game, have also directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Avengers: Endgame releases in India on 26 April in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film which stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and Benedict Cumberbatch amongst others, will be the 22nd movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film will conclude this phase of the MCU, and is rumoured to be the last time Downey Jr and Evans will play Iron Man and Captain America respectively.
