Abducted minor girl found in farm
tnn | Mar 13, 2019, 04:00 ISTSurat: A two-year-old girl who had been missing since Monday afternoon was found abandoned from an open farm in Mota Varachha area on Tuesday. Police has arrested a man living in house adjacent to the girl’s for allegedly kidnapping the minor under the influence of alcohol.
Though no injury marks were found on the girl and police has sent the minor for medical examination to ascertain if she was sexually exploited or not.
The accused was identified as Shatrughna alias Bijli Yadav, a resident of Mota Varachha.
The accused too had disappeared since Monday afternoon when police started investigation into kidnapping of the minor.
The girl is daughter of construction labourer from Madhya Pradesh. She was kidnapped when she was playing outside their shack in Mota Varachha.
“It seems that the minor was kidnapped with intention of sexually exploiting her but so far we have not found any injury on her body. We are awaiting the medical report,” said a police officer at Amroli police station.
The girl was found crying on Tuesday morning by a woman passing from nearby the farm. She informed others in the area and ultimately police was alerted.
“We are yet to interrogate the accused. Only after questioning we will be able to know that what exactly happened. The accused was captured in CCTV while going with the minor,” said police.
