The Ministry of Civil Aviation has received a request from bidders seeking an extension of the last date for submission of financial bids for the disinvestment of Pawan Hans Helicopters Limited, according to a senior official.
Tuesday was the last date for submission of financial bids as well as the date for opening of bids.
“The transaction adviser had sought an extension on the request of shortlisted bidders,” said the official, adding that the Ministry is yet to take a decision on this plea.
Asked about the impact of the model code of conduct kicking in after the announcement of Lok Sabha dates on the disinvestment process, the official said,
“There is an official from the law department who is part of the evaluating committee. When the highest bidder is announced, we will see whether it violates the model code of conduct and then take a decision.”
