There are plenty of awesome electric cars that are set to be unleashed in the future. We list some of the most hotly-anticipated electric vehicles.

The rest of the world might be leading the pack in terms of the variety of electric vehicles available but South Africa is slowly following suite.

In SA, we now have three purely electric vehicles available namely - Nissan Leaf, BMW i3, and the recently-launched Jaguar i-Pace.

Of course a host of new electric vehicles are currently on display at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.

The latest offerings, most of which are headed for production quite soon, include the likes of the Peugeot e-208, Honda E Prototype, VW ID.Buggy, and the Fiat Centoventi. 

The most exciting though is undoubtedly the Pininfarina Battista electric hypercar.
