NEW DELHI: An MBA graduate has been arrested for duping people on the pretext of selling them non-existent agricultural land. The cops started tracking the cheat after he conned a north Delhi businessman of Rs 1.6 crore in lieu of 100 acres of a prime land in Madhya Pradesh. The accused, Kuldeep Khare, used to run a consultancy firm and claimed to be the owner of multiple plots across the country.
DCP (crime) G Ram Gopal Naik said after receiving the money, Khare created fake owners of the land and also arranged for counterfeit documents. The registry of the said land was done in the name of the complainant. But, when the complainant went to take possession of the land, he came to know that all the people who did registry in his name were fake and not actual owners of the land.

The other members of Khare’s gang were arrested by the local police in Mangolpuri, where the businessman had registered a complaint but Khare managed to get an interim bail and flee. He had been on the run since then.

“A team was formed to track down Khare and a trap was laid at Nizamuddin railway station where he was supposed to reach to meet someone and then flee back to Madhya Pradesh. He was caught after a short chase as he tried to flee after spotting the policemen,” said DCP Naik.

Police said that Khare is 35 years old and was born in Bhopal. He had done MBA from Bhopal in 2008 and then started his own business in finance. He also opened his company in the name of M/S Pure Consultancy Solutions Pvt. Limited.

To earn money quickly, he and his other associates planned to dupe the businessmen from outside Madhya Pradesh on the pretext of selling agricultural land in MP.
